Swim Time!

We spent yesterday swimming at the West Jordan outdoor swimming pool. We've driven by it TONS of times, and my kids always beg to go...It has a high dive, a low dive, and two slides down into the water. Mom liked that it had a really big, shallow area for little kids!

But here's the REALLY exciting part...I actually remembered to take my camera somewhere...AND remembered to pull it out and use it! And then as if that weren't enough, I also decided to learn how to post some pictures! Overwhelmed? Yeah...me too.

It was really fun to watch the kids swim, slide, dive, and splash. And I thoroughly enjoyed chillin' (okay, not really chillin'...it was like 90 degrees!) with Rhoda. She's so great to chat with!

Tory actually brought his life jacket, (which he usually refuses to wear, because he's too big for that...) thinking if he used it he'd be able to go off the diving board. Lee's been teaching all three of the older kids to swim when we go, but none of them are very confident. The life jackets weren't allowed on the slides OR the diving boards. But Tory didn't let that stop him! He went for it anyway!

And Sydney, not to be outdone by her little brother, had to try it, too!!

Here's Joshie, Rhoda's oldest, joining the fun!

And then Tory decided to get REALLY brave...He decided to go for the high dive!

Cowabunga!

And once again, can't let your little brother show you up! Does she look pale to you? :D I didn't get a picture of her actually diving, because I had to put the camera aside to encourage her to actually JUMP!

We had a fantastic time...Although I came home a little pinker than I should have...Especially considering my responsible sister-in-law had sunscreen, and even offered to share! Tsk tsk...shame on me!
Oh...and guess who else was at the West Jordan pool yesterday! I saw my Best Friend for Life Danna! She was there with her kids and her mom...Her kids are gorgeous...but so is Danna, so that's only fair! It was fun to see her...we don't get together often enough. ('Cause she lives in stinky Tooele!)

The pictures are great! Oh and guess what your responsible sister in law didn't do?....put sunscreen on her two year olds BACK! Yeah apparently I got it on his face and front, but not his back and he's got a nice sun burn. Is that a sign that I have too many kids, when I forget which kids I've covered with sunscreen and then only cover half of their skin? DUH!!!

I've been following you through this sweet blog for a while, but thought I couldn't remember my password or username so I haven't been commenting. I decided to try my username/password that I use for everything and guess what...it worked!! Anyway, it was lots of fun seeing you at the pool! I was so excited after I had seen Megan a few times and then saw Sydney- I knew you'd be somewhere nearby. I came home a bit pink (ok-red) too. Oh well. We don't get together often enough, let's do it soon.
