Bieber Fever...!!

For a while now, two of my kids have been pestering me about taking them to see the Justin Bieber flick "Never Say Never". They have begged, and begged, and finally, I relented. I went to the theater ahead of time, and purchased three tickets...For me and my two lucky guests!
We got our movie snacks (sorry...can't sit through 1 1/2 hours of THIS without reinforcements of some kind...!) and the three of us took our seats. It was cute. (And fun to watch...there were parts where his manager was going around his tour cities giving out tickets to random girls who didn't have them. And upgrading people who had nosebleed seats to the front few rows...The girls were freaking out...(Insane!)...but it was cute to watch!) All in all, not the worst movie I've ever seen...But we all know I'm not hard to please when it comes to movies...I like everything...!

After the flick was over, the kids begged me to take their picture in front of a poster or something. So the search was on. We walked from one end of the movie theater to the other, to no avail! Finally, I asked the ticket taker to point us in the direction of one. Apparently, he'd been *ahem* vandalized so they had to take his stand-up down. (Decapitated, I believe was the word I heard them use as we walked away...!) Anyway, no photo op for us. I said maybe we could take one when we got home.
And so here it is...We 3 at home, doing what all the "Bieber" fans in the movie kept doing:
(Just noticed I'm, like, the worst hand-heart maker ever! Gosh! I need practice!)
Gotcha, didn't I! You totally expected the GIRLS to be in this picture with me! But no...They don't really LIKE him...Weirdos! :D (But good job not conforming, I've taught you well!!)
Spencer wanted one of him "doing a Justin Bieber pose":

A fun night out with my little boys. One other funny incident: We were waiting for the snack man to ready our popcorn, and he asked the kids what we were seeing. Michael answers, "Justin Bieber." (pause) "But we aren't girls."

Thanks for the clarification, buddy! *snicker!*

Failure to communicate...

Don't you hate it when you call and make a car appointment, specifically for Wednesday morning, then get up and head out the next day to go to said appointment...and then when you get there, they say, "Hm, I don't have you're appointment here." And when you tell them your name, they find it under Tomorrow's appointments?

Great dress rehearsal, Michael. We'll go full out tomorrow for the real thing!

-sigh-

Happy Valentine's Day!

Remember how one of the most fun things about Valentine's Day was building your box? Which wasn't even really required? But it was so fun you did it anyway? Well...Here are the products of some great imaginations!
Remember Syd, during the Friday dance party? Here's what she was up to. She made it all by herself, without any help from her mom!
And, of course, Megan got in on the action. Her box is a covered wagon. She is also way too big to want her mom's help!

(You can't really see them, but there are people driving it and everything!)

Spencer saw the girls in the midst of their creative flurry, and decided that he needed a box, too! (And help!) So here is what we came up with:

Tory made a box with a "Cards Go Here" slot. Then decided he needed a theme, and made a NEW box that was a basketball court...Then decided it was a skate park...Then he took one look at Spencer's box, and asked mom for help:

I love all my little valentine's! I'm so lucky to be surrounded by people who love me, and who let me just smother them for now! :D
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

Good Old Gossip Magazines...

"The Star"...Always good for a laugh! I was sitting in the break room at work, flipping through a magazine that was sitting on the table. I came across this page and was laughing so hard I had tears! Look at the picture...Can you find the funny?

No? Can't really see what's so funny about pants? Look below:

The part circled in the second picture reads "Two Handy Pockets!"
And here I am, taking for granted that every pair of pants I own came with those, standard. I didn't realize that for some, handy pockets was an upgrade! I'm so ungrateful...

(World, Thank you for handy pockets...)

Fabulous Friday...

Friday after school the kids had some friends over. Spencer had a friend, Michael had 2 friends, Megan ended up with 3 friends, Tory had 2 friends...It was like a party, but without the planning!!
No party is complete without the impromptu Dance-O-Rama!

Video would have been more fun, since then you'd all be able to enjoy the sweet break-dancing moves these kids were busting out! =D

And while the party was hopping in the other room, this is what Sydney
was up to:

(More on that later!)
So the friends all went home and it was time for dinner. Lasagna was the meal of choice for tonight! Mmm...What's better than a homemade lasagna!

How about when someone else is making it?! (I think food always tastes better when somebody else fixes it...! It's funny...there are meals we make here that I think are better when he cooks, and he likes better when I cook...)

Lee asked me if I was taking pictures so I could reference them later when I make Lasagna next time. (I always defer to him on this meal...I've never made lasagna! It doesn't seem too hard, but I like that it's DAD'S dinner!)

Yummy...The finished product!

I wanted to mention too, that Spencer's friend stayed for dinner. I told him and his mom what we were having before she left him, and then as we called everyone to the table Spencer tells me, "Oh, mom? Michael doesn't like lasagna."
Sorry, man. That's dinner!

Happy Early LOVE Day!

I walked in the door after taking the kids to guitar lessons and this is what I saw waiting for me:

Lovely, aren't they? What a pleasant surprise!

Can you smell 'em? Well, I can...It's delightful!
Thanks, sweetie...Love you BUNCHES!

Funny Honey!

Lee and I were watching the news last night. There was a story running about a woman who had written a letter to the editor printed in the Standard Examiner complaining about all the "ado" over Jimmer Fredette, specifically on the BYU campus. We watched the story in quiet, then the newscaster moved on to the next piece. I think I said something like, "Geez...Get over it, lady."

Lee turns and says, "Yeah...Jimmerny Christmas, just Fredette about it."

We laughed and laughed...You know, some things just strike you a certain way! (And he was so proud of his funny! What a cutie!)

Giggle!

New Little Buddy!

We love "Dispicable Me"!

The Minions, the Unicorn Song, Steve Carrell as a cartoon...Just can't watch it enough! We bought the DVD when it first came out, but at work last night, I found a rare DVD/BluRay/PLUS Digital Copy! Gotta have it...'Cause how great to put this on my iPod...!!

Imagine my delight when I opened the box to check it out...and found THIS!!! My very own little inflatable Minion! :D He's my new little buddy!
(If I still had a baby carrier, I would have taken him to work with me the next night and carried him around with me...Just for giggles.)

Where a Kid Can Be a Kid!!

What to do, what to do...
Grocery shopping was already done, we bought valentines stuff for the kids for school next week...What's left?
Yay! Let's go to Chuck E. Cheese!! (Cause why not?...)

(He looks so happy...!)

Hard to see, cause these are cell phone pictures, not ACTUAL pictures!...But that is Tory and Spencer playing the basketball game.

(And dad, supervising for maximum ticket output!)

Now THAT is happy to be there!

Gorgeous Girl!!

(Can you hear her eyes rolling?!)
And here's dad...Making sure there are enough tickets for everyone to
get what they want!!

(Apparently it's where dad can be a kid, too!)
And don't worry...Since they checked our hand stamps on the way out, we know we left with only our own kids!

Needed some car work done. Hmm...sitting in the waiting room with Michael...slightly problematic. So I packed a bag:

Ah...peace as he stays occupied?...check.

Book for mom...um...nope. iPod for mom...um...nope.

Crap.
